Sherry's Blog

Thank you, Citizen's/Taxpayer's of Lancaster!

Dear friends,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank those that prayed and supported me in so many ways during this campaign.  I won't even start naming names, but thank you from the bottom of my heart and I ask you to continue praying for me as this is going to be a challenging four year term.

I am excited and look forward to making a difference in Lancaster.  I know, as more citizens unite and as we look for solutions, we are going to Confront Crime and Create Progress and Lancaster is going to be a safe and attractive place to live once again!

Hi Fred, Thanks for contacting me. I am very busy, but I really want to try and answer as many e-mails as I can before the election. I took each question separated it and will give a quick answer: I was wondering if LA County tries to coerce Lancaster into accepting housing projects and whether they go out of Read more

Parks

It has been brought to my attention that someone on the blogs is stating that I said that I would close the parks.  That is not true.

I was asked what budget cuts would I look for in order to put more deputies on the streets and I said that I certainly would not approve of doggie parks with special doggie fountains.

I would cut any unnecessary travel, magazine subscriptions and I certainly would not approve $12,000.00 for the city staff to learn how to comb their hair, brush their teeth and sit up straight for televised City Council meetings.
